Lone Peak Tram, Big Sky Live Cam

This camera stands at the lower terminal of the Lone Peak Tram at Big Sky Resort in Montana and looks up toward Lone Peak. Two haul cables run across a wide rocky bowl toward the pointed summit.

The Lone Peak Tram carries riders to the summit of Lone Peak, which stands at 11,166 feet and is also mapped as Lone Mountain. The lower terminal sits at roughly 9,000 feet, so the cable line climbs more than 2,000 feet. Walking guests reach the terminal by riding the Explorer Gondola up from Mountain Village.

The view is fixed and shows the peak from its foot rather than from the top. A steep ridge rises on the left and a broader slope on the right, with service buildings and a chairlift terminal on the floor of the bowl below the cables.
