Kisatchie Bald Eagle Nest E-1, Kincaid Lake Live Cam

This camera looks into bald eagle nest E-1, high in a loblolly pine at Kincaid Lake in Kisatchie National Forest, central Louisiana. The broad bowl of sticks rests in a fork between thick, scaly limbs, with pine boughs filling the space around and below it.

Kisatchie is the only national forest in Louisiana. Kincaid Lake, a reservoir of about 2,600 acres completed in 1972, lies in its Evangeline Unit some 10 miles west of Alexandria. Eagles have nested at this spot in the lake’s recreation area since at least 2002, and the current pair, Louis II and Anna II, raised two chicks here in 2026.

The framing shifts from time to time, from a close look down into the bowl to a wider shot of the limbs around it. Unlike nest E-3 across the lake, this view shows no open water, only the pine canopy.
