Snook's Bayside, Key Largo Live Cam

Buttonwood Sound opens out beyond the deck at Snook's Bayside on Key Largo, in the upper Florida Keys. Umbrellas and two tiki roofs fill the foreground, and sailing boats lie at anchor in the shallow water past the dock.

This is the bay side of the island, facing west across the sound towards the mainland, which is why the sunset is the fixed event of the day here. Key Largo is the diving centre of the Keys, with the reef and the marine sanctuary on the ocean side a few minutes away by boat.

The camera pans and zooms, so it alternates between the dock, the moored boats and the open water. Summer afternoons bring squalls that cross the sound in the space of a few minutes.
