Hatchet Resort, Moran Live Cam

This camera at Hatchet Resort faces a lawn and sagebrush meadow with snow-dusted Teton peaks on the horizon, east of Moran, Wyoming. Conifer and aspen woods line the hillside at left, and willow thickets fill the middle ground.

The resort stands on Highway 287 about eight miles east of Moran, just outside Grand Teton National Park. Bridger-Teton National Forest borders the property, so the open meadow in front of the camera leads straight to forested slopes. The Teton Range lies to the west, beyond Buffalo Valley.

The frame is fixed and shows the property's grounds without any buildings. In autumn the willows turn orange and brown against the green lawn, and the mountains often vanish behind low cloud, leaving only the dark tree line along the ridge.
