Fort Lauderdale Beach, Las Olas Live Cam

This camera overlooks Fort Lauderdale Beach just south of Las Olas Boulevard, with the Atlantic Ocean, the sand and State Road A1A in view. Rows of palm trees, the white wave wall along the promenade and beachfront towers to the north complete the scene.

The stretch around Las Olas Boulevard is the central part of Fort Lauderdale Beach, where the boulevard meets A1A, the coastal road lined with hotels and restaurants. Las Olas Oceanside Park, with its open green lawn, sits on the land side of the road. Lifeguard towers stand on the sand, and ships are often visible offshore.

The camera turns north over the park lawn toward the high-rise hotels, east across the open water and south along the curving shoreline. During the day the sand fills with umbrellas and loungers, while boats pass close to shore.
