Eagle Nest Southwest Florida Live Cam

A pair of bald eagles stand on the rim of their nest in a slash pine at North Fort Myers, in south west Florida. Pine needles and branches close the frame on every side.

The nest sits in a fork of the tree and is added to every season until the bowl is well over a metre across. Both birds incubate, the chicks hatch in winter, and they are flying by spring.

The webcam is run by the estate agency that owns the land the pine stands on, and it has followed the same nest for years. Night vision keeps the picture usable after dark, when the adults sit tight.
