Hawks Cay Resort, Duck Key, Florida Live Cam

Hawks Cay occupies most of Duck Key, a small island halfway down the Florida Keys between Marathon and Islamorada. The webcam looks over the saltwater lagoon and the sand.

The lagoon is cut into the island and fed by the sea, so it rises and falls with the tide and holds whatever swims in. The resort has been here since 1959, when it opened as a fishing club with its own airstrip on the next key.

Hurricane Irma came over these islands in September 2017 and shut the place for two years. Almost everything visible in the picture was rebuilt afterwards, which is the normal cycle for buildings on this chain.
