Destin Bridge, Florida Live Cam

The pass at Destin runs below this view towards the road bridge, on the Gulf coast of the Florida panhandle. The white sand of Norriego Point runs out into the channel, and low cloud sits along the horizon behind the span.

The bridge carries the coastal highway over East Pass, the cut that connects Choctawhatchee Bay to the Gulf of Mexico. Every boat working out of the harbour goes through this channel, which is why the fishing fleet and the charter boats pass the camera in a steady line.

Tidal current runs hard through the pass and the water changes colour with it. Another camera in the catalogue shows the open beach at Destin a couple of kilometres west.
