Bishop Ave Water Tower, Michigan Live Cam

The webcam stands on a water tower at Coldwater, Michigan, and looks west over a lakeside neighbourhood. Cemetery Lake is the water in the middle distance.

Coldwater sits among a chain of small lakes left behind by the retreating ice, and the town has grown around them rather than the other way about; several are joined by short channels that boats can run.

The main road through, now US-12, was the Chicago Road, cut in the 1830s along an older trail between Detroit and Lake Michigan. The opera house on the street that follows it opened in 1882 and is still working.
