Blue Spring State Park Live Cam

Blue Spring State Park protects a spring run that flows into the St Johns River at Orange City, in central Florida. The webcam is underwater in the run and shows whatever is passing at that depth.

The spring holds a steady twenty-two degrees Celsius all year. When the river cools in winter, manatees crowd into the run in numbers that have passed nine hundred on a single morning, and the park closes the water to swimmers for the season.

Outside those months the picture belongs to the fish: Florida gar, tarpon, catfish, mullet and the small flagfish that give the water its speckled look. The run is short enough to walk in ten minutes along a boardwalk above it.
