Deerfield Beach is a city on the Atlantic coast of northern Broward County. The courts sit on the sand just north of the International Fishing Pier, where several nets are set up along this stretch of shore. Dune vegetation and a wooden beach access walkway frame the left side of the scene.

The view is fixed at court level and looks north along the shore, so the nets, a second lifeguard tower farther up the beach and the waterline are visible together. Unlike the nearby beach, surf and pier views, it is aimed at the playing area itself.
