Bar Island View, Bar Harbor Live Cam

This camera at the Bar Harbor Inn looks north across Frenchman Bay toward Bar Island and a long wooden pier. A tall-masted sailing ship is moored at the pier's end, with lobster boats and small craft on the water around it.

Bar Harbor is a seaside town on Mount Desert Island in Maine and the main gateway to Acadia National Park. Bar Island, the wooded island at left, is part of the park and is joined to the town by a gravel bar that is uncovered at low tide.

A second camera at the same inn faces west toward the town pier and shoreline buildings, while this one is aimed at the island and the inn's pier. The view is fixed, with the temperature, wind and the day's tide times shown along the bottom.
