Parrot Aviary, North Yorkshire Live Cam

A sun conure and a group of green conures crowd the feeding station in this outdoor aviary on Teesside, in the north east of England. Seed bowls and a water tray sit on the platform below the mesh.

Several conure species share the enclosure: crimson-bellied, pineapple, yellow-sided, maroon-bellied and the red-fronted among them. Cockatiels and parrotlets, the smallest of the New World parrots, use the same trays.

Conures come from the forests and scrub of South America, so an English aviary needs shelter and heat through the winter. The webcam moves between perches, and the birds are busiest at the feeder in the first hours of daylight.
