Weather and time
Leh Cherng is a Taoist temple in the east district of Taichung, in central Taiwan, and the webcam looks inside it. Mazu and Yue Lao are the two deities it is best known for.
Yue Lao is the old man under the moon, who ties a red thread between two people destined to marry. Petitions for a match are left at his altar, and the threads are carried away by the people who make them.
Taiwanese temples are working buildings rather than quiet ones: incense burns all day, offerings are laid and cleared, and the carved stone and painted beams are kept up by the congregation. This one is a designated cultural monument.
