Songjeong Beach, Busan Live Cam

Songjeong Beach in the east of Busan runs across this webcam view from the Songjeong Olla Hotel above the promenade. The bay curves from the seafront road in the foreground to the wooded headland and the rocks at the far end.

The beach is about 1.2 kilometres long with a gentle slope and shallow water, which is why it became the main surfing beach in the city rather than a swimming one. Board rental shops and surf schools line the road behind the sand, and Haeundae is a short ride to the west.

Surfers are in the water all year, in wetsuits through the winter, and the beach itself only fills up in July and August. The operator's overlay carries the date, the time and a Korean caption across the bottom of the picture.
