Seoul City Centre Live Cam

The view is from N Seoul Tower on Namsan, the wooded hill in the middle of Seoul, looking out over the city after dark. The camera turns slowly across the lit blocks below.

The tower went up in 1971 to carry television signals and opened to visitors in 1980. It stands 236 metres tall on a hill of 243, which puts the observation deck around 480 metres above sea level and makes it the highest point in the city.

Namsan carried the last relay of the Joseon beacon network: fires lit from hilltop to hilltop from the borders inward ended here, and reconstructed mounds still stand near the summit. The railings on the terraces below the tower are hung with padlocks.
