Busanjin-gu Skyline, South Korea Live Cam

The view is from Hwangnyeongsan, a wooded hill of 427 metres standing in the middle of Busan, looking down over the city. The webcam takes in the lights and the people at the viewing terrace.

Busan is built in the gaps between hills, which is why the lit ground runs in strips: the flat land is narrow and the housing climbs the slopes on either side until it runs out of slope.

A reconstructed beacon tower stands at the summit, part of the network that passed warnings along the coast by fire. The city is the country's largest port and its second-largest urban area, with about three and a half million people.
