Nahoon Beach, Eastern Cape Live Cam

Nahoon Beach runs along this view at East London, on the Indian Ocean coast of the Eastern Cape in South Africa. A stream from the Nahoon River cuts across the sand towards the surf, and people walk the wide flat beach in front of the lens.

The beach runs from the river mouth to Nahoon Point, where the reef makes one of the better known surf breaks on this coast. The nature reserve on the point protects the dune forest behind the sand, and walking trails run along the cliffs above the water.

Surfers are in the water year round, and the sheltered river mouth is where families and paddlers stay. The overlay carries the date, the time and the name of the local firm that sponsors the stream.
