Douro River, Oporto Live Cam

Watch the Douro River live PTZ webcam in Porto, Portugal, set up at the riverfront shop "La Paz" in Ribeira. From here the camera looks over the Ribeira area, the Douro River, the Monastery of Serra do Pilar (Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar), the Dom Luís I Bridge, and the port wine cellars on the opposite bank in Vila Nova de Gaia.

The Ribeira district sits in the centre of Porto and has narrow streets and colourful buildings. Its riverside promenade is a place to walk, and the historic Rabelo boats that once carried Port wine barrels are moored along the river. The Douro is a major waterway of the Iberian Peninsula, and boat cruises run along it past terraced vineyards and other landmarks.

Across the river, Vila Nova de Gaia sits on the southern bank and gives a different view of the city. It is known for its wine cellars, which offer guided tours and tastings, and for its panoramic views of Ribeira and the Porto skyline.
