National Auditorium Live Cam

The Auditorio Nacional stands on Paseo de la Reforma beside Chapultepec park, in the west of Mexico City. The webcam looks over its roof at the city and the hills beyond.

The building opened in 1952 as a riding arena and was gutted and rebuilt as a concert hall in 1991. It seats about ten thousand and sells enough tickets in a year to rank among the busiest venues in the world.

Chapultepec next door is one of the largest city parks anywhere, with a castle on the rock at its eastern end and the national anthropology museum along the same avenue. The mountains closing the view are the rim of the valley the city fills.
