Shinjuku 5-chome Crossing, Tokyo Live Cam

This rooftop view in Kabukicho looks down on the Shinjuku 5-chome crossing, where Yasukuni-dori meets Meiji-dori in Tokyo. Lanes of traffic, wide pedestrian crossings and shopfronts under street trees surround the junction.

Yasukuni-dori forms the southern edge of Kabukicho, one of Tokyo's busiest entertainment districts, and carries buses, taxis and cars through Shinjuku. Here it crosses Meiji-dori, and a blue sign at the left edge points to Kudanshita, Ichigaya and Shibuya. A karaoke venue and a shoe shop with a sale sign stand on the far corner.

The camera is fixed high above the road and shows the whole junction at once: queues at the lights, buses turning and crowds crossing as the signals change. The roof parapet is visible at the left edge. Other cameras on the same roof look along Yasukuni-dori and at the ward office crossing.
