Weather and time
This camera looks straight across the Kanda River at Kamon Bridge in Sekiguchi, Bunkyo, at a long wall of grey concrete blocks. A slim water gauge stands just right of centre, with dark, calm water below.
The station is in the Sekiguchi 1-chome district, beside Edogawabashi Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line, about 50 m away. Mejiro-dori Avenue passes about 30 m from the bridge, Kobinata Shrine stands about 160 m off, and Edogawabashi Gymnasium is a short walk away. This stretch down to Iidabashi was once called the Edo River, which gave Edogawabashi its name.
The camera is fixed on the opposite wall. Its stone-like blocks run in a regular grid from the top of the frame to the waterline, streaked by weathering, and the gauge pole is the only vertical mark. No bank, bridge or sky is in view.
