Varazze Beach Live Cam

Varazze sits on the Riviera di Ponente west of Genoa, with a marina at one end of its beach and hills rising behind. The camera turns along the sand and the seafront.

The town built wooden ships for centuries and supplied the Genoese fleet with them. The yards are gone and the harbour is a marina now, with something like eight hundred berths.

The walk east along the shore runs on the bed of the old coastal railway, which was moved inland in the 1970s and left its tunnels behind. On clear winter days the Alps show above the coast behind the town.
