Bundoran Beach, Ireland Live Cam

Bundoran sits on Donegal Bay in the north-west of Ireland, with a beach under low cliffs on the open Atlantic. The webcam looks out over the surf from above the sand.

The reef off the town, known as the Peak, breaks over rock in a way that throws a heavy right-hander and has made Bundoran a surfing centre for the whole island. The water is cold enough that wetsuits are worn all year.

It was a Victorian resort long before any of that, laid out for visitors coming by rail from Enniskillen; the line closed in 1957. The sea-cut rock arches west of the beach, called the Fairy Bridges, were part of the same attraction.
