Milna, Brač, Croatia Live Cam

Milna is built round a deep inlet at the western end of Brač, one of the best natural harbours in the Adriatic. The camera looks across the water at the marina and the bell tower.

The bay is nearly landlocked and holds calm water in almost any wind, which is why sailing boats have used it for centuries and why the marina fills in July. The village behind it dates from the eighteenth century.

Brač is limestone, and the stone quarried on its north coast has been building things since Roman times, including the palace Diocletian retired to at Split. The spit at Bol on the far side of the island changes shape with the wind.
