Base Area, Kimberley Alpine Resort Live Cam

This camera watches the base area of Kimberley Alpine Resort in British Columbia and the lower terminal of the North Star Express chairlift. A wide open slope rises above it along the lift line toward the forest.

The resort lies on the northeast face of North Star Hill in the Purcell Mountains, right next to the town of Kimberley. The base area is at an elevation of 1,237 m (4,059 ft). From here the North Star Express, a high-speed quad, climbs west-southwest to its summit station at 1,789 m (5,869 ft).

The view is fixed and looks uphill. The terminal and a small hut with a green roof stand at the lower right, a gravel road crosses the foreground, and the first lift tower rises on the slope above, with stands of trees along the right edge.
