Syracuse Airport South Live Cam

This is the southern side of Syracuse Hancock International, a joint civil and military field in New York state. The webcam looks over the apron and the taxiways.

The military half belongs to an air national guard wing that flew fighters here for decades and now operates remotely piloted aircraft, controlling them over other continents from buildings on this field.

The airport sits on a plain that takes some of the heaviest snow in the country, and the ploughing operation is sized for it. Passenger traffic runs to about two and a half million a year, most of it to the eastern hubs.
