Scranton Library, Connecticut Live Cam

The E. C. Scranton Memorial Library stands at the corner of Wall Street and the Boston Post Road in Madison, Connecticut, in the United States. The webcam looks down on the crossing from above the roofline.

The library was finished in 1900 to a design by Henry Bacon, who two decades later designed the Lincoln Memorial in Washington. It is white marble in a Greek Revival manner, and a large extension opened behind it in 2021 without touching the original front.

The Boston Post Road is US Route 1, laid out on the colonial mail route between New York and Boston. Madison sits on the Connecticut shoreline between New Haven and New London, and this junction is the middle of its town centre.
