Front Street Park Gazebo, Leavenworth Live Cam

This camera faces the gazebo in Front Street Park, the small green space at the center of Leavenworth's Bavarian-style downtown. Wide steps lead up to it from a paved plaza, a tall evergreen and weeping willows surround it, and a large hotel with flower-lined balconies rises behind Highway 2.

Front Street Park lies between Front Street, with its shops and restaurants, and the highway through town. The city calls it the town's recreation center, and the gazebo is an outdoor stage for free summer concerts. The park also has a Maibaum, the Bavarian maypole. During Oktoberfest the grounds are fenced and fill with festival tents.

Other cameras in town look along Front Street, while this one faces the park itself, with the gazebo steps in the middle of the frame. Traffic passes on the highway behind, and forested Cascade slopes rise above the rooftops.
