Jacksonville Traffic, Florida Live Cam

This feed cycles through highway cameras around Jacksonville, on the Atlantic coast of northern Florida. Each view holds for about a minute, and the sound is a fire dispatch radio channel.

Jacksonville covers more ground than any other city in the contiguous United States, because in 1968 it merged with the whole of Duval County. The bridges these cameras watch are what hold it together across the St Johns.

That river flows north, one of the few in the country that does, and drops barely nine metres over five hundred kilometres. It is tidal a long way inland, which is why the water at the bridges is brackish.
