Hyatt Centric Key West, Florida Live Cam

A hotel dock on the western shore of Key West looks out at two small islands lying offshore, in Florida. The camera pans across the water and the boats.

The nearer one is Wisteria, also called Christmas Tree Island, and it is not natural: it is spoil, pumped up out of the harbour when the channel was dredged in the 1930s. It has never been built on and its ownership has been argued over in court for decades.

The further one is Sunset Key, which was made the same way and then developed with houses reached only by boat. Both sit in the channel the ferries and the sunset cruises use.
