Schools of this kind are a small industry: students come for a few weeks from Europe and Asia, live on site and study English in the mornings. San Diego is one of the standard destinations for it because the weather is reliable.

The city has the mildest climate of any large American one, with the temperature moving through a range of about ten degrees across the whole year. The Pacific is a few kilometres west of this campus.
