A street corner in Jackson lies below this webcam, in the town at the southern end of Jackson Hole in Wyoming. Snow covers the roofs and the road, rafts are stacked upside down on a trailer, and a construction crane stands over the buildings behind.

The business in the frame runs float trips and whitewater rafting on the Snake River, which drains the valley between the Teton and Gros Ventre ranges. Jackson is the base for both Grand Teton and the southern entrance to Yellowstone, so its summer and winter economies are entirely different.

Between November and April the rafts sit where the frame shows them. The river season starts when the ice goes out and the snowmelt comes down in May.
