Dallas City, Texas Live Cam

The northern suburbs of Dallas stretch towards the control towers of Dallas/Fort Worth airport in this view, in Texas. The towers stand on the horizon in the middle of the frame, with warehouses and low blocks between them and the lens.

The camera is a pan-and-zoom unit and works through a circuit of the metropolitan area: Reunion Tower, the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, the water tower at Farmers Branch and the two airports, DFW and Love Field. DFW alone covers more ground than the island of Manhattan.

Summer heat puts a shimmer over the middle distance for much of the day. Spring brings storm fronts that cross the frame from the west, and the overlay carries the local temperature.
