Broadway, Salisbury Live Cam

Salisbury Beach is a seaside town on the north coast of Massachusetts, and this webcam stands directly on the sand. A white sail canopy shades the deck in front of the lens, and the boardwalk pavilions run along the top of the beach.

Broadway, the street behind the beach, is the centre of the resort: arcades, food stands and a stage where free concerts are put on through the summer. South of the town the Salisbury Beach State Reservation covers the dunes at the mouth of the Merrimack River with campsites and walking tracks.

Between June and Labor Day the beach and the boardwalk are busy from morning until late. Out of season the canopy comes down, the pavilions shut and the same frame shows an empty stretch of sand.
