Västra Sörse, Varberg Live Cam

Västra Sörse is a new housing district on the southern edge of Varberg, on the Halland coast of western Sweden. The camera looks over the blocks towards the Kattegat.

The town below is built around a fortress on the shore, begun in the thirteenth century when this coast was Danish and fought over for the next four hundred years.

The museum inside it keeps the Bocksten Man, a body found in a bog in 1936 with his clothes intact: a hood, a tunic and hose from the fourteenth century, the most complete medieval costume anywhere in Europe.
