Cancajos Beach, La Palma Live Cam

Playa de Los Cancajos lies below this webcam on the island of La Palma, in the Canary Islands of Spain. The sand is black volcanic grit, low rock walls break the shoreline into coves, and the mountains of the island rise behind the coast.

La Palma is the steepest of the Canaries, and its beaches are dark because the sand comes straight from the lava. Los Cancajos is a small resort a few kilometres from the capital, Santa Cruz de la Palma, whose front is visible along the coast.

The rock breakwaters keep the coves calm enough for swimming on an exposed coast. The 2021 eruption of Cumbre Vieja was on the other side of the island and did not reach here.
