Funchal Shipspotting Cam Live

Cruise ships enter and leave the harbour at Funchal in front of this webcam, on the island of Madeira. A liner passes the breakwater in the middle of the frame, close enough to read the name on the hull.

Funchal is a regular call on Atlantic cruise routes and is busiest from autumn through the winter, when ships repositioning between Europe and the Caribbean stop here. At the end of December the bay fills with liners anchored offshore for the New Year fireworks, which are set off from the hillsides around the town.

On other days the quay can be empty and the frame shows nothing but the breakwater and the sea. The overlay carries the time and the current temperature.
