Delta Yacht Live Cam

The yard basin at Colijnsplaat holds several hundred masts, lined up along pontoons on the north shore of the Oosterschelde. The webcam pans the length of the harbour from the shipyard at one end.

Despite the flat water, this is not a lake. The storm surge barrier finished in 1986 was built with gates that stay open in ordinary weather, so salt water and a real tide still reach the village — unlike the Grevelingen and the Veerse Meer, which were sealed off and went brackish.

That decision is why divers come here: the tidal exchange keeps the biodiversity of a sea arm. Colijnsplaat sits on Noord-Beveland in the province of Zeeland, and the fishing fleet lands sole and lobster at the quay behind the marina.
