The apron at Tokachi-Obihiro Airport lies under this webcam, in the farming region of Tokachi in eastern Hokkaido, Japan. A Japan Airlines jet stands at the air bridge under floodlights, with baggage carts and loaders working around it.

The airport serves Obihiro and the plain around it on a single runway, with a handful of flights a day to Tokyo. Because Tokachi gets heavy snow and long spells below freezing, much of what happens on this apron in winter is clearing, sweeping and de-icing.

Between departures the stand is empty and the frame is lit tarmac and parked equipment. Aircraft turn round quickly, so the whole ground operation happens inside about forty minutes.
