Beach shimshon Sheva, Israel Live Cam

Shimshon beach at Ashdod lies below this webcam, on the Mediterranean coast of southern Israel above the promenade. A shaded pergola stands on the sand below the railing, and surf runs in along the wide open beach.

Ashdod is a port city built almost entirely since the 1950s, and its beaches run in an unbroken line north from the harbour. The Eye of the Sun sculpture and the ruins of the Ashdod-Yam citadel stand within walking distance of this stretch.

The bathing season here is long, from spring into late autumn, and the beach is supervised through it. Winter storms come in from the west and push sand up against the promenade.
