Turku Market Square is considered the city’s central square and was built in the 1830s. Around the square are cafes, restaurants, shopping centres, offices and the Orthodox Church of Saint Alexandra in Turku, which can be seen in the view. The renovations aim to revitalise the city center, add commercial and leisure opportunities, and give priority to walking and cycling infrastructure.
