This street camera looks over Erottaja Square in Helsinki, with the Swedish Theatre (Svenska Teatern) at its centre. The square is the 'zero point' of Helsinki, the place from which distances to other cities in Finland are measured.

Helsinki sits in southern Finland and has a temperate continental climate with milder winters, though average temperatures in January and February are around -5ºC. The city has about 600,000 residents, and the wider Greater Helsinki area also takes in Espoo and Vantaa. Much of its tourism is built around culture, including the Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, the National Museum, the Suomenlinna sea fortress, and the Helsinki and Uspenski cathedrals.
