Hotel Matts Matinkylä, Espoo Live Cam

Hotel Matts stands on Tynnyritie in Matinkylä, a district of Espoo west of Helsinki on the Gulf of Finland. The camera looks down from a neighbouring roof onto the junction with Suomenlahdentie.

Matinkylä is a station on the Länsimetro line and was its western terminus from 2017 until the tunnels reached Kivenlahti in 2022. The station sits under the Iso Omena shopping centre, which also holds a library, a health centre and a swimming pool.

Building work has reshaped the block repeatedly, and cranes appear in the picture more often than not. The district runs down to the shoreline path that follows the coast of Espoo for about thirty kilometres.
