The guest harbour at Uusikaupunki lies below this webcam, on the Baltic coast of southwestern Finland. Yachts lie at the pontoons across the basin, a birch turns yellow in the foreground, and the quay runs along the near side.

The town was founded in 1617 and built its wealth on shipping; its old wooden quarter and the customs house that gives this quay its name survive from that period. The archipelago outside the harbour runs for tens of kilometres in shallow water and islands.

The sailing season is short and intense, from June to August, and the pontoons in view fill completely in July. Ice closes the harbour for months afterwards.
