Tofino Harbour, British Columbia Live Cam

This harbour camera looks north across Tofino Harbour on Vancouver Island from the Main Street waterfront in Tofino. A red-roofed Coast Guard lifeboat station stands on the right, its floating dock reaches out into the water, and forested hills rise beyond.

Tofino lies on the edge of Clayoquot Sound, and its harbour is a working waterway shared by water taxis, float planes, whale-watching boats and fishing vessels. Meares Island is across the water to the northeast and Vargas Island to the northwest. The tides here rise and fall by several metres.

The camera is fixed above the shore, so every frame shows the same landmarks: a wooden landing at the left, the lifeboat dock in the middle and kayaks on racks at the bottom. Daytime frames show a strip of beach at low tide that the water covers at high tide.
