Dársena Saco da Ribeira, São Paulo State Live Cam

Saco da Ribeira is a sheltered inlet at Ubatuba, on the coast of São Paulo state where the mountains meet the sea. The camera watches the channel that boats use to get in and out.

Ubatuba has around a hundred beaches strung along a coast of headlands and islands, backed by the Serra do Mar, which rises steeply behind the town and is covered in Atlantic forest.

Those mountains catch the moisture coming off the sea, and the town gets more rain than anywhere else in the state; the local nickname for it is a pun on the word for rain. The marina in the picture is the main departure point for boats to the islands offshore.
