The runway at Recife airport crosses this view in Pernambuco state, on the northeastern coast of Brazil. An Azul jet rolls past the lens on wet asphalt, and the low buildings of the field stand behind the grass.

Guararapes-Gilberto Freyre airport opened in the 1940s and was rebuilt in stages up to 2011; it lies about 14 kilometres from the centre of Recife and is the main gateway to the northeast. The stream carries air traffic control audio alongside the picture.
