Weather and time
The camera watches a platform and BNSF tracks near Douglas Avenue in downtown Wichita, Kansas, with a milepost 212.3 sign in front. Trees and brick buildings frame the right side, while the tracks run straight toward the horizon.
The line is BNSF's Arkansas City Subdivision, the former Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe route between Newton and Arkansas City, also used by Union Pacific and two Watco short lines. Across Douglas Avenue stands the 1914 Union Station, and the Great Plains Transportation Museum nearby keeps Santa Fe steam locomotive 3768.
The camera is on a pan-tilt mount. The standard frame looks along the platform and main tracks; it also zooms in on passing freight, turns toward industrial buildings, and looks across a fence to a roadway viaduct and signal masts.
