Racks of second-hand clothing and a painted rainbow fill the room at the Paperboy Prince Love Gallery in Bushwick, Brooklyn. A loft platform and a scattering of chairs take up the far wall.

The premises work as a shop and an exhibition space at once, and the floor is cleared for events. Paperboy Love Prince, the musician and repeat candidate for office in New York who runs it, appears in the frame often enough.
